During your stay you can visit Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England. Accessed in the nearby village of Bowness, here you can hire boats or take lake cruises. Alternatively you can visit the Beatrix Potter attraction, found 10 minutes away on-foot.

The price for this room reflects its size and this room is intended to provide great-value budget accommodation. The budget rooms are scrupulously clean, freshly decorated and furnished with double bed, bedside lockers and a wardrobe. The room comes complete with tea and Fairtrade coffee making facilities, as well as biscuits. There is a 3-night minimum stay during public holiday periods. There is a 2-night minimum stay on weekends.

St John's Lodge is the food lover's choice, it probably offers the largest selection of breakfast menu in the area, from a touring visitor’s point of view, or if you prefer healthier alternatives, this is a refreshing change. Vegetarians, vegans and people on gluten-free diets will be amazed by the variety of homemade dishes available, along with traditional English dishes. By Car: From North or South: - Take the M6. - Exit at junction 36. - Follow signs to the South Lakes and Kendal. This road is the A590/A591. - Follow the A591 to Windermere and then signs to the town centre. - Drive through the village towards Bowness and the lake. This road is 'New Road'. - After around 800 metres, there is a Catholic church on the left. St John's Lodge is approximately 90 metres on the left-hand side (If you reach the police station or the lake then you have gone too far).
