Ibbetson’s has received 2 AA Rosettes for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses. Dinner reservations are recommended prior to arrival to avoid disappointment – please note that a limited service operates over Christmas and New Year. Traditional English afternoon tea is served daily in the grand and comfortable surroundings of the lounge. By Car: (from the M11 motorway/the North): - Leave the M11 motorway at junction 8. - Take the A1250 towards the town centre of Bishop’s Stortford. - Turn left at the traffic lights to Hatfield Heath (A1060). - Down Hall is approximately 6 miles (10 km) further on, on the A1060 Chelmsford Road. - At Hatfield Heath, keep left and then turn right into the lane opposite the Hunters Meet Restaurant and left at the end, following the sign. By Car: (from the M11 motorway/the South): - Leave the M11 motorway at junction 7. - Take the A414 towards Harlow. - At the fourth roundabout, follow the B183 towards Hatfield Heath. - After approximately 5 miles (8 km) the road bears right - signposted Down Hall Conference Centre. By Train: From London Liverpool Street Station take the Cambridge or Bishop’s Stortford train to Bishop’s Stortford. There are 2 every hour and the journey should take approximately 45 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the Stansted Express train service to Bishop’s Stortford. This service runs every 15 minutes. From the station, you can take a taxi to Down Hall and the journey should take about 10 minutes.
