About The Corner House Hotel hotel
The Corner House Hotel, in the heart of Taunton, is a new breed of hotel for the 21st century. Fully refurbished in April 2003, we have retained all of the features of this charming Victorian building.
We call our bedrooms, here at The Corner House, budget boutique. Not only are they tremendous value for money but we asked you what you wanted from a bedroom in the heart of this wonderful county town of Taunton. A good nights sleep, a comfortable bed, a sparkling modern bathroom, excellent in room entertainment and security, and of course, a great price. The Corner House is not a modern hotel on the edge of town. We have taken a gracious Victorian lady and given her a bit of sparkle. The Corner House. A Victorian lady with a twinkle in her eye. Please note that the hotel has no lift.

We believe eating should be fun, fashionable and friendly! So we have kicked out all of the stuffiness and combined a contemporary design with all the best features we discovered in a Victorian house. Then we searched Somerset for the best local produce so that all our modern dishes are, wherever possible, prepared from the finest and freshest local ingredients. The result is our Bistro4DQ. A real fusion of design, food, value and service.
Directions
Heading south on the m5 exit at junction 25, follow signs for Taunton town centre. After 1.5 miles of dual carriageway follow signs for town centre a38 Wellington. This takes you along Victoria Parkway and then into East Reach. At the top of East Reach follow signs for a38 Wellington/Musgrove Park Hospital. Carry on past the Police Station and start down Compass Hill. At this point get into the right hand lane signposted Town Centre, at the junction stop. The hotel is directly in front. Heading North on the M5 exit at Junction 26 and head towards Taunton. Approximately 6.5 miles you will pass Somerset College of Art and Technology (SCAT) on the left. The Corner House is 500 yards further on the same side of the road.
