Formerly an elegant country house, this long-established traditional hotel has an elegant historic charm and offers friendly service.
There is a feature room located in the main hotel building and the 34 self-contained lodges are located just a short walk away. While retaining a traditional atmosphere, each lodge is well appointed with modern comforts and facilities, including TVs, telephones, irons, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities.
The hotel offers a seasonal menu, including modern, traditional and international dishes, complemented by a selection of real ales, fine wines and speciality coffees. The licensed bar and attractive conservatory restaurant provide a relaxing atmosphere in which to dine.

Whether you are after just a quick snack or a hearty three-course dinner, there is something for everyone. The restaurant and bar offer good food, friendly service and a good range of real ales, along with carefully selected wines and speciality teas and coffees. The inn also offers a traditional carvery every Sunday lunchtime. During the summer months, you can enjoy a drink or some food in the gardens surrounding the hotel.
From m5 j27, take a361 to Barnstaple. At Portmore roundabout, take a39 towards Bideford. At the Roundswell roundabout, take a3125. The hotel entrance is at the third roundabout.
