The Place is a Grade II listed building located less than 100 metres from Manchester Piccadilly train station. The hotel has its own bistro-style menu, and is within walking distance of all of the city’s main shops, restaurants, theatres and trendy bars.

The barrel ceilings, exposed brickwork and ironwork make this hotel a truly unique and special place to visit. Each spacious, attractive apartment is beautifully appointed with modern amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, satellite TV and a DVD player.

The Place Hotel serves both a full English breakfast and a full continental option every morning in the restaurant area. All the breakfasts are made using produce from the best locally sourced suppliers and are made fresh every morning. In addition, the restaurant serves an exclusive new menu between 17:00 and 21:00 for all our guests. Food is served either downstairs in the lounge or in your room. The recently refurbished bar area is an ideal meeting point. The Place to Drink bar offers fabulous drinks and light snacks for residents and non-residents.

Cancellations

Upon check-in, The Place Apartment Hotel will charge a refundable security deposit, which is held against any possible damage to your room. You must call The Place Apartment Hotel if you intend to check-in later than 22:00. If you do not do this, the hotel wil consider the booking cancelled and will charge a cancellation fee.

By Air: The hotel is approximately 10 miles (16 km) from Manchester Airport. A direct train runs regularly from the airport to Manchester's main train station, Piccadilly, which is just 100 metres from the hotel. By Train: The Place Hotel is located within 100 metres of Manchester's main train station, Piccadilly. By Car (from the North): - From the M66, continue south onto the M60. - Leave the M60 at junction 20 onto the A664. - Follow the signs into the city centre. - At the large crossroads, take a left down Queens Road (A6010) to the next junction. - Turn right onto the A62. - Follow the A62 on until the end of the road. - Turn left onto Great Ancoats Street. - Continue on this road passing through 2 sets of traffic lights. - After the second set of traffic lights, take the first right turning onto Ducie Street. - Stay on the left-hand side for 500 metres and you will see the hotel. By Car (from the East): - From the M67 continue on until the Denton roundabout. - Go straight across onto the A57 and follow this road all the way into Manchester. - The A57 then becomes London Road. By Car (from the South): - Follow the M56 (South) until the road ends and carry on until you reach a major roundabout. - Take the 3rd exit onto the slip road, joining Mancunian Way. - Follow the slip road until it ends. - Turn left. This brings you onto London Road. By Car (from the West): - From the M61/62 exit onto the M602. - Continue on this road until it becomes the Mancunian Way flyover. - Take the exit signposted Belle Vue. - Follow the slip road until the end. Turn left onto London Road. Parking: The Place Hotel has its own secure underground car park (available at an additional cost), saving guests the nightmare of finding parking in Manchester’s city centre.
