Barnsdale Hall Hotel is situated on the north shore of Rutland Water, approached by the A606, four miles east of Oakham and seven miles west of Stamford. Peterborough is twenty one miles away to the east and London is around one hundred miles south on the A1 motorway. Travelling to Barnsdale by road is relatively easy from all parts of the country as it is conveniently situated close to the A14 (the A1 and the M1 link road). For the rail traveller, an excellent inter-city service operates from Kings Cross in London to Peterborough and from St Pancras in London to either Kettering or Leicester, taking approximately three quarters of an hour. A transfer train from either Peterborough or Leicester takes about forty minutes. For those travelling by air, East Midlands Airport is less than an hours drive away and provides an ideal link with Europe. Helicopter landing facilities are available at Barnsdale.
