Due to road work being carried out by Edinburgh Council, the hotel's front parking bay will be unavailable for 9 weeks from 04 April 2009. During this time, cars will not be able to access the hotel for parking or luggage unloading. If arriving by taxi, get out at Picardy Place. You can then walk 35 metres towards Leith Walk and cross the road by the Playhouse Theatre, which is next door to the hotel. If you are arriving by car, the hotel recommends parking at the Omni Complex (on Greenside Row). You can telephone the hotel if you need help with your luggage.

The Glasshouse is located at Greenside Place, just off Princes Street and five minutes' walk from Waverley train station. The hotel sits atop the Omni Leisure Centre, and is accessed through the facade of the 150 year old Lady Glenorchy Church, which is part of the hotel.
