The Columbus is situated on the south side of Sussex Gardens; an elegant tree lined avenue. It has been tastefully converted to provide you with all you would expect from a good quality Bed & Breakfast. Some rooms are suitable for families or friends as they offer the possibility to accommodate 3 or 4 persons, with the savings that this brings! We are just 2 minutes walk from Paddington Underground, Heathrow/link, Hyde Park and with Marble Arch & plus Oxford Street just 8-10 minutes walk away. You don't need to look further for a good location and London's best Bed and Breakfast hotel. Please note that due to the age of the building there is not lift at the hotel .

Directions from Paddington Station: (100 metres from hotel) Look for the Burger King on the corner of London Street. Walk down London Street and at the first set of traffic lights turn left, immediately cross over Sussex Gardens and the Columbus is situated in the 1st block to your right. Directions from Heathrow Airport: Take the Heathrow Express Link to Paddington station. (15 minutes) Cost: Single 10.00 GBP, walk out through Praed Street exit and then follow directions from Paddington station above. Alternatively, depending on the amount of luggage, a Taxi will cost you about 3.00 from Paddington. Directions from Gatwick Airport: Take the Gatwick Express train the Victoria. a) take a Taxi (cost approx 7.00 GBP) from Victoria. b) Take the Underground from Victoria to Paddington Station (Circle line). c) From outside Victoria station (Wilton Road) take No. 36 to Paddington station and then follow directions from Paddington station above. Directions from Stanstead Airport: Take the express train to Liverpool Street station. a) Take a Taxi (cost approx 8.00) from Liverpool Street. b) Take the Underground from Liverpool St. to Paddington Station (Circle line, westbound direction) then follow directions from Paddington station above. From Waterloo International Station (Eurostar from Europe): a) Take a Taxi (cost approx 8/10 GBP) from Waterloo. b) Take the Underground from Waterloo to Paddington Station (Bakerloo line, northbound direction). Then follow directions from Paddington station above. Be careful as this streets exit has about 40 steps (No lift or escalator). By Road: a) From Marble Arch, go north up Edgware Road (A1) and at the 4th set of traffic lights turn left into Sussex Gardens. The Delmere on the right and Columbus on the left. b) From the A40 (Oxford) follow Central London and when you are on the A40M (Westway) take the Paddington exit. Drive straight along Westbourne Terrace until you have to turn left; this is the start of Sussex Gardens.
