In a beautiful, peaceful location, only 0.5 miles (0.8 km) from the A303, this charming family-run hotel prides itself on its reputation for quality food and luxurious bedrooms.
Although only half a mile from the A303 and just a short drive from Sherborne, Yeovil and Wincanton, The Walnut Tree has a picturesque setting with tranquil surroundings.
Full of traditional character and charm, with beautiful original features inside and out, the hotel has 13 en suite rooms. Each of the rooms is individually furnished and decorated with its own unique characteristics.
Free wireless internet access is available in all the rooms.
Guests can choose to dine in the bar area or in the à la carte restaurant, with its lovely wood-panelled dining room and soft candlelight. For the last 3 years, the restaurant has received an AA Rosette award for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the fresh, local ingredients it uses.

The beautiful rooms have all been furnished to the highest standard and have their own individual characteristics. One of the upstairs rooms has its own balcony with views of the garden.
The Walnut Tree has an à la carte restaurant and a more relaxed bar area. Over the years, the restaurant has proved popular with guests and local people alike, and is well-known in the area for the quality of its food. The restaurant offers a lovely setting for a wonderful meal, with an oak-panelled dining room, soft furnishings and intimate candlelight. The Walnut Tree is proud to say that the delicious food is freshly prepared using locally sourced produce. The restaurant is open Monday night through to Sunday lunch, taking orders from 12:00, with last orders taken at 20:45.
We are situated just south of the A303 in West Camel. From Yeovil take the A303 and after you have passed the Fleet Air Arm Museum you will see a right turn signposted for West Camel, we are on that road. From London you will continue past Sparkford on the A303 and you will see a left turn signed for West Camel. Please see the maps below for more detail
