Restaurants and Bars
The elegant Knightsbridge Restaurant overlooks Southport's Lord Street boulevard and is the perfect setting for a lively dinner party or an intimate candlelit dinner for 2. The restaurant offers the discerning diner a superb choice of table d'hôte menus, complemented by a fine range of wine. There is also a Dine and Dance event every Saturday evening. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and there is a choice of either a full English breakfast or a buffet-style breakfast. Cloisters Dining Room was established in 1998 as an additional facility for the Scarisbrick Hotel. Cloisters is housed in what used to be the hotel's original stables when the hotel was first built as a coaching inn during the latter part of the 19th century. The restaurant was created using carefully retrieved and sensitively restored stained glass and artefacts sourced from the local region, which has helped to create an environment of warmth and great interest. The menu offers traditional English dishes, made using local produce whenever possible, with the focus on char-grilled food, cooked over hot coals. The cooking of the dishes is designed to be healthy and light, reducing fat contents and offering subtle flavours. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and offers a varied and interesting menu that is very competitively priced. The hotel also offers a choice of several well-appointed bars, including the Knights’ Cocktail Bar with its resident pianist; the popular Maloney’s Bar and Snug; and the Baron’s Bar with its selection of traditional ales. This bar is open late for guests. The Foghorn Bar offers traditional bar snacks in an informal setting. The popular Maloney’s Kitchen offers morning coffee, a wide and varied selection of hot and cold meals, chef's speciality luncheons and afternoon teas. DirectionsFrom the South: Via the m6 to exit 26, the m58 to Exit 3, on the a570 through Ormskirk to Southport. There are brown attraction signs to Lord Street. The hotel is directly infront of you when you come to Lord Street (the historic shopping street of Southport). *Directions included in email booking confirmation |
