Alba House is a beautiful, detached Victorian villa built around 1860 and set in large, landscaped gardens with many mature trees and ample seating areas.
The bedrooms, all en suite, are individually designed with comfort in mind. Each of the spacious bedrooms has retained its Victorian proportions and has either one double (or king-size) bed or twin beds. All bedrooms have been refurbished over the last 6 months. Private parking is available for all guests.
Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, The Scottish Parliament Building, The Festival Theatre, The Playhouse Theatre and The Edinburgh International Conference Centre are all close by. Alba House is also conveniently placed for The Royal Observatory, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and Edinburgh University; the King's Building is a 5-minute walk away.

Our new family suite is ideal for a family group or two couples, having two double bedrooms. It also has a full kitchen, dining room, bathroom and sitting room with French doors leading to a very secluded garden. Please note that it accommodates a maximum of 4 people, including children and infants.
This apartment is located in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, 500 metres from The Royal Mile. The third-floor, modern apartment has 2 double bedrooms with luxury king-size beds. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom. The apartment also has a family bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a living/dining room. The apartment block has a video-entry system, a lift and secure allocated parking. Please note that the apartment is offered on a room-only basis, but a grocery pack can be requested at booking. Important Information: Please inform Alba House of your estimated time of arrival in advance, either by using the comments field when making your reservation or by contacting the hotel directly, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. On the day of your arrival you will be met at the apartment. It is important that you keep the hotel's contact details to hand so that you can inform them of any delays or changes in your travel plans. After your booking has been confirmed, you will be contacted with more detailed information regarding check-in.
All rooms except for the Family Suite include full English breakfast. The room rate for the Family Suite includes continental breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7 until 9am.
Take the airport bus to Waverley Station. From Waverley Station, cross Prince's Street to the shops and take any bus from 3, 3A, 37 and 37A to Craigmillar Park. Alternatively, when leaving Waverley Station on Prince's Street, turn right and walk two hundred yards to the North Bridge. Cross to the east side of the North Bridge and take any bus from 7, 8 and 31, in addition to 3, 3A, 37 and 37A to Craigmillar Park. The bus stops outside Alba House and will only take a few minutes in total.
