Originally built in 1535, during the reign of King Henry VIII, the Close Hotel and restaurant today boasts an enviable reputation as one of the finest 16th century town houses in the Cotswolds. Since becoming a hotel in 1974, the hotel has become known for excellent hospitality and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
There are 15 spacious en suite rooms, each of which is individually decorated with its own unique charm. The rooms combine modern comforts and facilities with the building’s original elegant style. Many of the rooms overlook the beautiful secluded walled garden. There are 2 bedrooms with fine antique four-poster beds.
With an original period ceiling, the charming restaurant offers classic dining and views of the garden, with its central pond and fountain.
