The Hardinge Arms is an attractively restored historic building in the affluent village of Kings Newton, sited on a conservation belt dating back to the 1600s.
Home to the Newton Wonder apple, this inn has a charming atmosphere and a quiet English village location. This unique premises is completely non-smoking, with a beautiful traditional pub serving real ales, as well as a pleasant restaurant serving tasty home-cooked food made using locally-sourced produce.

There are 5 rooms on the ground floor level, each of which is self-contained with its own individual parking space. All of the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base.
The pub serves hand-pulled real ales and offers a warm and welcoming environment. Stone floors, log-burning fire, comfortable sofas, fresh coffee and a selection of newspapers and magazines all add to the relaxed feel. The pub opens Monday to Wednesday from 18:00 till 23:00. It also opens during Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 till 14:00 and again from 18:00 till 23:00. On Sundays the times are 12:00 until 16:00. The restaurant opening times are 18:00 until 21:30 (Monday to Wednesday); 12:00 until 14:00 and then 18:00 until 21:00 (Thursday to Saturday); 12:00 until 14.30 (Sundays). The restaurant offers honest home cooking at realistic prices. All food is cooked to order and uses locally sourced fresh produce. Weekend reservations are highly advised. A generous full English breakfast is served from 07:00 until 09:00 every morning.
By Car (from the South): - Follow the M1 motorway, heading north. - Follow the signs for the East Midlands/A50. - Merge into the A42. - At the Ashby Road roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Ashby Road (A453). - Head straight on (1st exit) at the next roundabout. - Continue onto Walton Hill. - Take a right turn at Isley Walton. - After about 3 km, turn right at Main Street.
