This is a place where guests enjoy full relaxation and spend a peaceful time under the starry sky of the beautiful Alentejo country-side. Casa Zanzibar offers the exclusivity of only 12 guests at a time, free parking for guests, a swimming pool, a spacious and beautiful garden, and a large public sitting room with ambient music.
This is not a suitable hotel for parents with babies or small children.

Please note that Casa Zansibar closes every year from the 13 December until March of the following year.
Casa Zanzibar has 6 double rooms with ensuite bathroom. Each room has individually operated air conditioning or heating, according with the season; TV-Satellite with multilingual channels and personal safe.
Dinner can be served if requested in advance (48 hours minimum). The cost for dinner is EUR 18 per person excluding drinks and taxes. There is a VAT tax of 12% added to the price of the meal and also to the drinks. The international meal includes special gourmet entry, pasta with different sauces, meat with potatoes and or rice, desert and tea or coffee. Cold drinks are served at any time of the day.
Casa Zanzibar is strategically placed at 45 minutes by car from Lisbon Airport. You may follow the A12 highway which crosses the Vasco de Gama bridge or the A2 highway which crosses the 25 de Abril bridge heading south towards Évora. Casa Zanzibar is situated at 20 minutes from Setúbal and the sea, 2 hours from the Spanish border and the Algarve region. From Lisbon to Landeira Take exit toward A12/Ponte Vasco da Gama Take exit toward N6/Marateca Merge onto N10 via the ramp to Pegões/Évora N4 It is advisable to go to Casa Zanzibar by car. Nevertheless, if you wish to use public transports, here is how you can travel: By bus + taxi From Lisbon, take a bus at Oriente station to Setúbal. There, take a taxi to Landeira/Nicolaus. The bus will take approximately 40 minutes and will cost around 10 Euros (one way ticket that you can buy inside the bus)). The taxi will cost you approximately EUR 50 (one way). By train + taxi From Lisbon, take the train to Vendas Novas at Oriente station. The return train ticket costs around. EUR 18. There take a taxi to Nicolaus. Taking a taxi from Vendas Novas to Nicolaus, which will cost you between 15 and EUR 20. Note that from the train station to the taxi station at Vendas Novas, takes around 10 minutes walking.
