The Hotel is placed in the access of the main entrance of the city of Covilhã, 5 minutes from the center and next to the University. It's a perfect starting point for visits to the historical and medieval villages and the highest mountain of Portugal-"Serra da Estrela". As for business trips. In the Winter, Covilhã is main access door to the mountain, providing easy access the Ski Station. Also, it's known for the excellent gastronomic portfolio with several regional specialties.

Lobby Bar: Elegant and comfortable, modernly decorated, it offers an adjacent place to the front desk and one arcade room in the first floor. Half board / full board is served at the Hotel Tryp Dona Maria, situated about 150 mt and it includes: soup, main course, dessert, drink and coffee.The breakfast buffet is served in a room with natural light.
By car: From Porto: Enter A1 south direction. At Albergaria, take the IP5, to Viseu. After passing Guarda, yet in IP5, exit to Covilhã Norte, via A23, following directions for the city centre. (Travelling time: +/- 02h30) From Coimbra: Enter IC2 north direction. Follow direction to IP3, to Viseu, before Santa Comba Dão, turn right to Mangualde. Here, follow direction to IP5 until Guarda. After passing through Guarda, yet in IP5, exit to Covilhã Norte, heading to the city centre. (Travelling time: +/- 02h15) From Lisboa: Enter A1 north direction, only leaving this road in the detour to Torres Novas A23. Exit to 23 passing through Abrantes, and after, through Castelo Branco, exit to Covilhã Sul, and heading to the city centre. (Travelling time: +/- 02h15) From Faro: Enter A2 Lisbo direction, passing through Castro Verde to Marateca. Exit to A13 / N119 until Infantado, following the N10 to Vila Franca de Xira. Here follow A1 north direction, only leaving this road in the detour to Torres Novas A23. Exit to 23 passing through Abrantes, and after, through Castelo Branco, exit to Covilhã Sul, and heading to the city centre. (Travelling time: +/- 04h45) By train (CP): Form Porto: Leaving from Campanhã, you have to change in Entrocamento heading to Covilhã. (Travelling time: +/- 04h40) From Lisbon: Leaving from Gare do Oriente heading to Covilhã, line Beira Baix. (Travelling time: +/- 03h50)
