Our recently renovated, 19th century, Tuscan style guesthouse is excellently located in Via Fillungo, the main street; an ideal base from which you can experience Lucca and its special atmosphere.
Lucca's most prestigious shopping street snakes past palaces, boutiques and restaurants in the historic heart of the city, just a few steps away from the Roman amphitheatre and the 12th century church of S.Frediano. It is lined with open-air bars where you can relax and watch Lucca stroll by. Explore the beautiful squares, visit the museums, or hire a bike and cycle around the city’s ancient walls.
The accommodation, a newly restored first floor apartment in a 19th century building, has been equipped respecting its antique structure and charm. The warm and elegant rooms, with original flooring, create a comfortable and homely atmosphere; you will feel like you are staying in a traditional Italian residence, not a hotel.

By Car: Coming from Florence or from Pisa by way of freeway A11, or if you come from Viareggio by way of freeway A12, you should drive alongside the walls and enter the town from Porta Santa Maria. - From the Firenze Mare/Bretella A11-A12 Viareggio/Lucca, take the Lucca exit. - After the toll booth, follow the signs indicating the city centre, go across the bridge over the railway and take your first right onto Viale Luporini. - Follow Viale Luporini for about 1.5 km and you will reach Piazzale Italia; it is easily recognisable by the monumental fountain in the centre. - Go straight, then turn left and follow the signs indicating Abetone. - The old city walls are on your right. You are on the road Viale Giosuè Carducci, continue straight on, always keeping the walls on your right up to Porta S.Maria. There are many free parking places outside the walls where you can leave your car. By Train: If you arrive in Lucca by train, you can reach us on foot easily in 15 minutes. Leaving the railway station square, go left onto the large avenue Viale Regina Margherita around the walls. Follow it for about 200 metres and then enter the town through the Porta S.Pietro. Then walk down Via Carrara and Via S.Girolamo to get to Piazza Napoleone. Follow Via Beccheria, then turn right to Via Roma and after 80 metres turn left onto Via Fillungo. Then go straight on. You will find us at the end of the street. By Air: The nearest airport is located at Pisa, only 20 km away. From there you can reach Lucca in half an hour, by train or car.
