In the heart of the Tuscany’s Chianti region, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves lies Relais Riserva di Fizzano, a beautifully restored complex of medieval farmhouses.
The complex is made up of self-contained apartments, gardens, an old chapel and a restaurant which offers genuine Tuscan cuisine. There is also a large swimming pool overlooking the valley and mountain bikes are available free of charge for those who want to venture into the gorgeous surrounding countryside. For children a green and well-equipped play area has been provided, along with a smaller swimming pool.
The apartments have been specially designed to maintain all their old rustic charm, with original tiled floors, wooden ceiling beams and large fireplaces all still present. In the comfort of these apartments the hotel can even arrange for you to enjoy a relaxing shiatsu massage.
The hotel has a lovely bar area where breakfast is served and where you can also enjoy a light lunch or exquisite bottles of local wine. Free guided wine tasting tours are available once a week and the hotel can also organise many other tours for you.
The hotel is well situated for those who wish to discover Tuscany, being within a few kilometres of Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti and also less than an hour’s drive from Siena (30km) and Florence (45km).
