In the heart of the New Forest, this grand country house originally built in 1887 is a blend of Tudor and Gothic styles, and offers more than a little luxury.
Ideally located close to Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and all the New Forest has to offer, the hotel is only 20 miles from Southampton and Bournemouth.
Once the site of a keepers lodge, Rhinefield House was built with a 'no expense spared' approach. It is fitted with chandeliers, intricate carvings and unique touches, but has retained a homely, easy-going feel.
On a crisp winter day you can warm your feet by an open fire. Or, when the sun is shining, step outside and enjoy a drink on the terrace - a popular venue for barbecues and open-air jazz events. Alternatively, relax in the lounge and enjoy a signature afternoon tea.

The Armada restaurant is truly a sight to behold, where you will find the magnificent carving of the Armada set in the restaurant fireplace. It took 9 years to complete, and is carved out of a solid block of oak some 4 feet thick. It is the perfect backdrop to the masterpieces created by the chef and his team who delight in choosing only the finest ingredients to provide mouth-watering food complemented by a wide selection of fine wines. Due to the popularity of the restaurant it is recommended that you pre-book prior to arrival. The lounge bar has a contemporary feel with cocktail-bar style and is set in beautiful surroundings. The terrace provides a great backdrop for outdoor dining. Sit and watch the world go by and see the koi carp swimming around the pond whilst you have lunch, afternoon tea, or a glass of champagne. If you prefer to wander the grounds or surrounding area, pre-ordered basic or luxury picnics can be prepared by the hotel.
