Everywhere you look are stunning views of the lake, hills and forests that make this such a beautiful and peaceful place. The hotel has always been a popular venue for walkers, nature lovers and people in search of tranquillity. The area is home to red squirrels, foxes, owls, red deer & badgers and is the only place in England where the golden eagle can be seen in the wild. 14 comfortable rooms and a self-contained apartment, most having lake or fell views. Cancellations

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 40 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

On public holidays and Valentine's breaks, the hotel only operates on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Dinner is charged at an additional cost to the room rate and reduced packages are available. Anyone found to be or believed to be smoking will have their reservation cancelled, without refund, and will be charged GBP 50 laundry and cleaning costs. Doors close at 23:00 each night. The hotel's reception does not operate on a 24-hour basis. Vegetarians and those with special dietary needs and allergies can be accommodated by prior request. Please contact the hotel in advance in order to inform them of your requirements, either by using the comments field when making your reservation or by contacting the hotel directly, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. Special diets can only be catered for providing they are mentioned at the time of booking.
