Situated in the beautiful, quiet conservation area of Torquay, the Marstan is only a few minutes' walk from the Blue Flag Meadfoot beach and its wonderful coastal walks. Torquay's bustling harbour and vibrant town centre are only a 10-minute stroll away.
The Marstan provides comfortable and luxurious surroundings and a sense of occasion with a welcoming and unpretentious atmosphere. Strong emphasis is placed on personal, and yet unobtrusive, customer service.
The rooms are appointed to a high standard, with virtually all of them fully refurbished in 2006 with brand new luxury en suites. In summer, guests enjoy the heated swimming pool and a piping hot open-air spa. In the winter, you may choose to relax in the cosy bar.

This is our most romantic room. From this room there are views over the swimming pool and garden.
They all have king-size bed (5 foot) or super king-size (6 foot) beds. All have thick pile luxury wool carpeting, high thread Egyptian cotton bed linen and antique furniture.
This is a luxury room completely refurbished in 2008 and decorated with beautiful antiques. It has a King-size bed fitted with luxury linens. There is a view of the gardens and pool. Modern touches come from the 32-inch wide-screen television and ipod docking station.
This room has a double bed for adults and a small annexe (open doorway) containing bunk beds for 2 children up to 14 years old, affording parents a degree of privacy. The bedroom was extensively refurbished in 2007 to provide high levels of comfort combined with practicality. Please note this room is not suitable for a cot.
Welcome to the Crystal Room - the most stunning room in the hotel. In the morning the sunlit room becomes a magical setting for the perfect breakfast. You are greeted by friendly staff, who will escort you to a table set for royalty. A fresh flower in a bud vase rests on an Egyptian cotton covered table, decked with newly polished cutlery, fine China and European crystal glasses. The room is filled with the aroma of freshly brewed Columbian coffee, mixed with our homemade muffins baking in the oven. Whilst savouring the delightful choices of the morning, you are put at ease with classical music. A perfect start to a perfect day.
By Car From Exeter: - Follow the A380 towards Torquay. - At the junction of the A3022 follow the signs for the seafront. - When you reach the seafront make a left turn onto Torbay Road. - Follow Torbay Road to the 3rd roundabout (just past Debenhams). - Turn left at this roundabout onto Babbacombe Road. - Make a right turn at the next traffic lights onto Meadfoot Road, which then becomes Meadfoot Sea Road. - The hotel is on the right-hand side, just 3 minutes up the road. Look for the black and gold sign.
