Bahamas Hotel, Torquay

Situated in the heart of Torquay in Devon, this family-run guest house offers a friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere for couples, families and the business traveller.

The Bahamas Hotel offers high-quality guest accommodation on a bed-and-breakfast basis, with ample free parking for all hotel guests.

The guest house has a great location, just a short, level walk from Torquay's main beach and promenade. A further 10-minute walk along the promenade will bring you to the marina and the main shopping area. Closer still are the recently restored Torre Abbey and the English Riviera Centre, with its conference, sporting and leisure pool facilities.

In response to guest comments, the Bahamas Hotel has recently upgraded its water system, in order to ensure adequate water pressure in all rooms. The patio area has also recently been refurbished and now provides a spacious and clean area in which guests can relax.

Breakfast is served in our dining room between 0830 and 0915 (service from 0745 is available for business customers only, by prior arrangement).

Cancellations

If cancelled up to 4 days before date of arrival, 33 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Deposit

33 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

Children and extra beds

All children are welcome. All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 2.00 per night and person for cots. Extra beds are not available. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

A non-refundable deposit is required to be paid in order to confirm booking, as follows: 20pp for 1-2 night stays, 40pp for 3-4 nights stays, 60pp for 5-6 night stays and 33% of total booking value for 7+ night stays. Balance payments to be made on arrival by cash or card only (2.5% surcharge for credit cards - debit cards no charge). All bedrooms are non-smoking (smoking is allowed in the bar or on the sun terrace only). Bookings made by, or on behalf of, all male groups (I.E. more than 2) or any person(s) aged under 21, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian, will not be accepted. Management reserve the right to cancel any such booking.

By road: From J31 of the M5, follow the A38 and then the A380 signposted Torquay. Follow the A380 to the Penn Inn roundabout at Newton Abbot. Continue on A380 to the 'English Riviera' roundabout then follow the A3022 into Torquay. Turn right at the Halfords store into Avenue Road. Go straight across at the first set of traffic lights and the hotel entrance is the 5th on the left.
