About Rumwell Manor Hotel hotel

Set amidst landscaped gardens with glorious country views, yet only 2 miles from Taunton, this 3-star hotel is conveniently located off junction 26 of the M5.

Rumwell Manor is a Georgian property with views of the beautiful Somerset countryside. Built in 1805 it is the former residence of William Cadbury - thought to have been related to the famous chocolate family. The hotel has rooms located in the main building and also in the courtyard, which have been extensively refurbished to offer a high standard of quality accommodation.

Room information

The main house rooms are located in the original Georgian Manor House and offer a choice of double or twin bedded rooms, with a romantic four-poster also available. These 10 superior rooms are particularly spacious, with delightful views of the surrounding countryside or the landscaped gardens. The courtyard wing is situated just a few paces to the rear of the main house, across a cobbled walkway. This wing contains all standard bedrooms, all 10 of which are comfortably decorated and furnished. Whilst these rooms may be more compact than those in the main house, all offer either double or twin beds and a number have convenient ground floor access, although none are specifically modified for disabled use.

Blackdown Restaurant is the perfect venue in which to enjoy a tempting meal - whether you are planning a romantic dinner for 2 or arranging a get together with family and friends. Table d'hôte, à la carte and bar snack menus are available most evenings and there should be something to suit all tastes and budgets. The restaurant is of course open to non-residents for dinner every evening as well as for Sunday lunches. However, it is always advisable to pre-book so as to avoid disappointment.

Directions

The hotel is located on the A38, approximately 2 miles south of Taunton and 4 miles from Wellington. By Car (from the M5): - Exit the motorway at junction 26 and follow the signs to the A38 and Wellington. - At the next roundabout, turn right onto the A38 and travel towards Taunton. - The hotel is located approximately 3 miles along this road, on the right hand side apposite a pub called The Rumwell Inn.
