Formerly a Victorian school, this Grade II listed hotel is close to Swindon, minutes from the M4 (J16), yet set in the Wiltshire countryside on the borders of the Cotswolds.
Business travellers will welcome all the usual business facilities, including free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Car hire and station and airport transfers can be arranged. Leisure travellers will enjoy the places of interest, such as Oxford, Marlborough, Cheltenham, Stonehenge, the Cotswolds, Bath and Avebury, all of which are within easy driving distance. All visitors will appreciate the hotel's location and look forward to returning at the end of the day for a drink or light meal in the Common Room bar, with its high ceiling and big windows. Dinner is served in the Brasserie, formerly the main school room. Seafood is a speciality. Log fires will be burning in winter, and the outside terrace will be serving cool drinks and delicious food in the summer.

All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots. All guests are checked out by email, fax or post on departure. Payment for room charges is taken one working day prior to arrival with the remainder of any charges charged on departure. Reservations of 4 or more days duration will incur a non-refundable deposit of 20% charged to the credit card on the day that the reservation is made. Reservations for guests with a different person's credit card will not be accepted. Credit card holders are required to be present. A 50 GBP non-refundable deposit is required for special offers. Peak period bookings require full non-refundable prepayment 30 days prior to arrival. The hotel will notify guests by email if they have booked during a peak period. If the guest does not then wish to adhere to this prepayment they can cancel immediately without charge. Reservations not taken up by 22:00 are deemed as 'non arrival' unless prior arrangements are agreed. 'Non arrival' reservations are charged in full. Deposits may be taken: Guests will be notified by the hotel direct as to when a deposit will be taken eg. bookings of 4 days or more, peak period bookings & special offers.

The Common Room was formerly the school's kindergarten during the Victorian era. More intimate than the Brasserie, the Common Room still also has a high ceiling, tall mullioned windows and a log burner. This room has a new bar with views out over the Wiltshire countryside. Food is also served here.
From Jct 16 of the m4, follow the a3102 towards Swindon. At the first roundabout turn left onto Whitehill Way,then turn left at the next mini roundabout (Hook Street).
