Only a few minutes from York City Centre, this non-smoking hotel is close to York Railway Station and the main attractions of York.
The Elmbank Hotel is part of the Cairn hotel group and provides an ideal base for visitors, whether on business, on holiday, sightseeing or shopping. Built at the end of the last century for a York Mill owner, the Elmbank is a city hotel with a country house atmosphere. Murals, frescoes, a magnificent oak staircase leading to a gallery with stained glass windows, are just a few of the fine examples of Art Nouveau decor which is the hallmark of this hotel: a hotel full of character and charm, where a warm and friendly welcome await you.
Dine in style in the intimate atmosphere of the elegant restaurant and sample the delights of the mouth-watering menus. York is a city steeped in history. Within its well-preserved walls are many medieval architectural landmarks, of which the most prominent is the magnificent York Minster.
