Angel Hotel offers traditional Georgian elegance and charm, mixed with modern design. The hotel has been visited by kings, queens, actors and writers. One such guest was Charles Dickens, who mentioned the Angel Hotel in The Pickwick Papers.

Pickwick Rooms are a small number of traditional-style rooms in the original part of the hotel awaiting 4-star refurbishment. Some rooms have fantastic views over the front of the hotel, overlooking the award winning Abbey Gardens and beautiful St Edmundsbury Cathedral Millennium Tower.
The Abbeygate Restaurant offers a menu which includes local dishes, specialities and imaginative English and continental dishes. Award winning two rosette restaurant. The Vaults Restaurant, situated in the 12th Century under croft and reputed to be part of the old abbey, provides a unique setting in which to enjoy moderately priced informal brasserie style dishes.
