Built in 1854 as the High School of Stirling, it is close to Stirling Castle & all the attractions of the City. The hotel's top class restaurant, Scholars has been awarded 1 AA rosette.
Dating back to 1854, the former high school of Stirling has retained many of the original school house features including the fully working observatory at the top of the building, and memorabilia from former pupils. Located in the centre of Stirling, just a stroll from the town's famous landmark Castle, this wonderful hotel has recently been upgraded with refurbished bedrooms, offering first class accommodation, fine dining and a traditional warm Scottish welcome. The hotel is now fully non smoking.

From the a1 & m9: Leave the a1 at Newcastle onto the a696 and then onto the a68. Continue on the a68 to Edinburgh and then follow signs for the m9. Once on the m9, exit at Junction 10 onto the a84 to Stirling. On reaching the town centre follow signs for the Castle, and the hotel can be located on Spittal Street on the left. From the M6: Follow the M6 to Carlisle and then onto the A74 (M). Continue towards Glasgow and exit at Junction 4 onto the M73. At the end of the M73 bear right onto the A80, continuing onto the M80 towards Stirling. On reaching the M9, follow the motorway north, exiting at Junction 10 onto the A84. On reaching the town centre follow signs for the Castle, and the hotel can be located on Spittal Street on the left.
