Based in Arrathorne, adjacent to James Herriot Country and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, Elmfield House is situated between Middleham, the horse racing centre of Yorkshire; the bustling market towns of Leyburn, Bedale, Richmond and Thirsk; and Masham, the beer brewing capital of Yorkshire.
Wind down in the evening with a drink from the selection of wines and beers, or take a walk to the lake and woodland to see the wildlife and immerse yourself in the tranquillity that is the hallmark of staying here. You can say hello to the friendly horses, sheep and hens on the way.

All children are welcome. All children under 1 year stay free of charge for cots. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
All rooms are spacious and have en suite facilities. One of the twin rooms offered has been designed to meet the needs of disabled travellers. The access from the car park to the ground floor room is on the level and the wheel/walk in shower is ideal for those with limited mobility. All of the ground floor doors are wider than average to allow easy negotiation by wheelchair. The other twin and both luxurious four-poster rooms are generously proportioned, with shower and bath available in the en suite bathrooms.
This spacious room with en suite facilities has views over open countryside. In the room there is a colour TV with either DVD player or Freeview receiver, complementary toiletries and wine (chargeable). An iron and board are available on request.
Each of these spacious twin bedded rooms (one on ground floor) have en suite facilities, a colour TV, radio/alarm, complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms have views over garden and open countryside beyond.
All meals are made from locally sourced, home produced and, where possible organic, ingredients. Evening meals are available by arrangement only at the time of booking. Please phone to make sure meals will be available on the days you are staying. Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 08:30. Dinner is served from 18:30 until 19:00.
By Car: - Take the A1. - Join the A684 into Bedale. - Continue on the A684 from Bedale towards Leyburn. - Pass through the villages of Crakehall and Patrick Brompton. - At the first crossroads after Patrick Brompton, turn right for Richmond. - Elmfield House is then exactly 1.5 miles further along on the right-hand side.
