Near the Tate Britain Gallery, the clean, family-run Melbourne House is a 5-minute walk from Pimlico Station (Victoria Line) and 12 minutes from Victoria Station.
Melbourne House Hotel was refurbished in 2007 and has a friendly atmosphere. It is recommended by the AA, Lets Go and Frommers. Most rooms have a private bathroom and a flat-screen digital TV.
The Gatwick Express from Victoria to Gatwick Airport takes just 35 minutes, while Heathrow Airport is easily reached by the Airbus and the Underground.
