The inn's head chef produces inspirational dishes with a strong emphasis on local produce. You can gaze at the splendid scenery just outside the window in the AA Rosette-winning lakeside restaurant, or eat in The Ramblers Bar in the grounds, which serves real ale and good traditional food.
To reach a fabulous destination can often be difficult, but this is not the case with The Inn on the Lake. Being only 300 miles from London, 100 miles from Manchester and 120 miles from Edinburgh, the hotel is easily reached via the m6, taking junction 40. Or you can arrive by train at Penrith Station (3.5rs from London and 2rs from Newcastle or Manchester).carry on by local bus or taxi.
