On the shore of Lake Ullswater, Rampsbeck is an elegant, private country house offering peace, pleasure and privacy.
Rampsbeck has a restaurant with 3 AA Rosettes. The candlelit dining room has superb lake views and serves modern French and English cuisine. The bedrooms are all individual and come with special features. Most rooms have been newly refurbished.
The 18th-century building has spectacular views of the lake and fells. It stands in 18 acres of parkland and gardens with lake frontage. It is listed as one of the most beautifully situated hotels in Great Britain.
Rampsbeck Country House Hotel was named an 'AA Inspectors Choice Hotel in Britain & Ireland 2008-2009', a supreme accolade for outstanding hotels. Guests staying in October will receive free tea/coffee and scone or crumpet on arrival.

All of these rooms are individually decorated. 3 have large double beds or twin beds and en suite bathroom with separate baths and walk-in showers. Most of these rooms have a view over the garden to the lake and the fells, although one looks directly onto the lake and has its own private balcony.

Leave the M6 Motorway at junction 40 and follow signs for A592 to Ullswater. At T junction at lakes edge, turn right and hotel is 1.25 miles along lakeshore, still on A592.
