Dating back to 1450, the residence is set in 4 acres of gardens, with unspoiled views over the countryside. The hotel has worked hard over the past 15 years to achieve a reputation as one of the foremost hotels and restaurants in Hertfordshire, boasting excellent transport links; it is situated only 5 minutes from the A1(M) and 20 minutes from the M1 and M25.

There are 12 Double/Twin Rooms, all are en suite, individually designed and comfortably furnished. All rooms provide the same high standard of service, although the rooms in the main house are larger. 9 rooms are situated in the old stables adjacent to the main house - all on the ground floor.
