Set in Hertfordshire, between Hitchin and Stevenage, this 3-star country house hotel offers comfortable, homely accommodation shared between the main house, the stable courtyard and milk parlour.
Dating back to 1450, the residence is set in 4 acres of gardens, with unspoiled views over the countryside. The hotel has worked hard over the past 15 years to achieve a reputation as one of the foremost hotels and restaurants in Hertfordshire, boasting excellent transport links; it is situated only 5 minutes from the A1(M) and 20 minutes from the M1 and M25.
This area of Hertfordshire is an ideal location for taking long walks, exploring the East and for accessing London for shopping and theatre trips (just 30 minutes by train). In addition to this, it is an outstanding venue suitable for both business and private functions.

All children are welcome. All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for cots. There are 12 Double/Twin Rooms, all are en suite, individually designed and comfortably furnished. All rooms provide the same high standard of service, although the rooms in the main house are larger. 9 rooms are situated in the old stables adjacent to the main house - all on the ground floor.
