This modernised coaching inn provides restful rooms with a rustic elegance, and simple, tasty local food.
Parts of the building date back to 1135, and the inn's crooked floors and modest decor stylishly echo its origin. The Olde Bell is one hour from Central London, and 20 minutes from Heathrow via good transport links.
In warmer months, enjoy local ales and food from the 'summer kitchen' in the huge meadow garden. In winter, open fires create an inviting cosiness. Wi-Fi internet is available throughout.

Eating and drinking is central to the Inn. The kitchen provides locally sourced food, served simply. Ingredients are sourced from local farms and producers. Open from breakfast until dinner, the menu changes daily with fresh bread baked on site. Home-baked biscuits and cakes, plates of Welsh rarebit and fruitcake with Cashel Blue cheese are a taster of the 'in-between' snacks available. The restaurant is open for lunch daily 12:00 to 15:00 (16:00 on Sundays), and for dinner from Monday to Saturday (18:30 to 22:00). The summer kitchen is open from May until October. The bar at the Olde Bell aims to create a sense of place and community. Visitors can enjoy home-roasted spiced nuts or cheese straws, with a pint of the local Real Ale or other traditional drinks. Bar food is available from 12:00 until 22:00. Private gatherings of up to 60 can be catered for.
