By Car: From the M60 East: - Leave at junction 27, signposted for Stockport East. - Take the 4th main exit, signposted Buxton. - Go through the 1st set of traffic lights and stay in the outside lane to the lights at the top. - Go straight through the lights for approximately 800 metres (half a mile), through the crossing lights. - At the next set of traffic lights, turn left and follow Hempshaw Lane for approximately 1.6 km (one mile) to the next traffic lights. - Turn right into Dialstone Lane and about 140 metres (150 yards) down the road on the left is the hotel. From the A6, Stockport and Manchester: - From Manchester, follow the A6 to Stockport. - Go through Stockport town centre, follow the A6 and proceed along the main road past the Town Hall and college until you reach the traffic lights by the Bamford Arms/Travel Inn. - Turn left into Nangreave Road and follow it until you reach the traffic lights. - Turn left into Dialstone Lane. The hotel is approximately 45 metres (50 yards) down the road on your right. From the A6, Buxton: - Proceed along the A6 towards Stockport. - Go through Hazel Grove and when you reach the traffic lights by the George & Dragon public house, carry on to the next set of lights. - Bear right into Dialstone Lane. - Follow the road for 2.4 km (1.5 miles), then through another set of lights and you will see the hotel on your right. By Rail: The nearest station is Stockport town centre, a 25-minute walk or short taxi ride. From the station, turn left and proceed to the A6 Wellington Road. Turn right and proceed up the A6 for 1.6 km (one mile) to the Bamford Arms Travel Inn. Turn left and proceed to the 1st set of traffic lights. Turn left again into Dialstone Lane and the hotel is situated 45 metres (50 yards) down on the right.
