This 150 year old former country residence is set in gardens dominated by a giant 200 year old cedar tree, and is 10 minute's walk from Windermere village and lake.
Located adjacent to the A591 next to St Mary's Church, Cedar Manor is a distinctive period property with many fine features. The hotel offers wonderful accommodation and has been awarded 2-star Hotel status by the AA, with a quality score of 80%.
The hotel lounge and bar has comfortable sofas and armchairs for you to relax in, have a drink and enjoy the views of the garden. The Cedar Manor Restaurant has just been awarded a coveted AA Rosette for dining and offers a seasonal à la carte and table d'hôte menus, and is open to hotel guests as well as non-residents.

The charge is GBP 5 per dog per night. Wireless internet is not yet available in the Coachouse rooms but is available free in the main hotel Not all rooms can accommodate children. Please notify the hotel first before arrival. A child sharing with only one adult will pay the same as an adult.
Bowness is a large en suite ground-floor room with a super-king-size bed, fridge and flat-screen 26-inch TV and DVD player. The seating area overlooks the garden.
Millerground is a ground floor twin room with ensuite bath and shower. Also has a tv, direct-dial phone, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdrier. Full English Breakfast

Orrest Head Suite has its own spacious sitting room with flat screen 32' tv & dvd player*, fridge and large walk-in closet, a bedroom with a king- size canopy bed and tv, and an ensuite bathroom with spa bath and separate power shower. The whole suite contains locally crafted furniture that compliments the original features. Also has direct-dial phone, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdrier. Full English Breakfast
Newly refurbished in June 2009 our four poster room now has locally hand-crafted furniture including a king size four poster finial bed. The room also features a brand new ensuite bathroom with shower bath, flat screen TV, DVD player, ipod/iphone dock, telephone, tea and coffee maker and a hairdryer.
Wansfell is a fantastic double executive room with beautiful hand-made furniture including a beautifully hand-carved four-poster finial bed. The room also boasts a flat-screen TV and an en suite bathroom with a spa bath and shower.
Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes can be seen from this room. The rooms contains locally made furniture and has original features, such as attractive arched windows. The room also features a king-size canopy bed and en suite spa bath and shower.
Coachmans is a large room on the ground floor of the converted coach house and as such, has its own private entrance. It features a king-size canopy bed, sofa, ensuite bath and shower and has a garden view and an outside seating area. Also has a tv, direct-dial phone, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdrier. Full English Breakfast
Our lovely split level dining room with period features overlooking the garden, serves fresh local produce on an exciting menu. The chef and hotel have been awarded an AA Rosette for dining.
Cedar Manor is on the A591 on the outskirts of Windermere village, next to St Mary's Church. The hotel is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride from Windermere train station.
