These rooms have spacious bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. The rooms have beautiful views of either Lake Windermere or the hotel’s gardens. Deluxe rooms contain everything a superior room has, including those little extras such as an enhanced welcome tray including chilled water and ice, an extensive range of luxury toiletries and bathroom products, a DVD player and magazines. Reservations for stays on Fridays and Saturdays must be for a minimum of 2 nights.

With an excellent reputation for good food along with our 2 AA Rosette awarded candlelit dining room, you can soak up an atmosphere of intimate fine dining; a fabulous experience, especially when our Bösendorfer piano is being played. Our seasonal table d'hôte menu serving traditional English cuisine of locally sourced produce is complimented by fine wines. There's something to suit all tastes and our chefs would be pleased to help with any particular dietary requirements.
By Car: From the South and the East: - From the M6, junction 36, take the A591 towards Windermere. - At the large roundabout, take 1st left onto the B5284, signposted Hawkshead via Ferry and Crook. - Continue along this road for approximately 11 km (7 miles) until reaching the staggered crossroads with the A5074. - Go straight across (left and then sharp right) onto Longtail Hill. Lindeth Howe is the 1st turning on the left. From Scotland and the North East: There are 2 possible routes. Firstly: - From the M6, junction 40, take the A66 towards Keswick. - On a cloudless day, take the A592 via Ullswater and Kirkstone Pass (views are breathtaking) to Windermere (see below for final directions). Alternatively: - On a cloudy day continue along the A66 to Threlkeld. - Turn left through St Johns-in-the-Vale to Windermere on the A591, via Grasmere & Ambleside (see below for final directions). From either route: - At the junction of the A591 and A592 head south to Bowness Bay on the A592. - Continue south out of Bowness on the A592 towards Newby Bridge and Barrow. - After less than 1.6 km (one mile) there is a left fork onto the B5284 - Longtail Hill, signposted Kendal. - Lindeth Howe is the last turning on the right, 300 metres up the hill. By Bus or Train: The closest rail station and national express coach stop is Windermere, where there will be an abundance of taxis to bring you to Lindeth Howe (about a 5 minute drive).
