The Gainsborough is a converted Victorian house with a classic style and an informal atmosphere. It is named after the celebrated artist, whose portrait of the Duchess of Richmond is in the spacious lounge/reception.

The hotel is a short walk from the Natural History Museum and South Kensington Tube station, which has a direct service to London Heathrow Airport. Close by are the exhibition centres of Earls Court and Olympia.
