Built in 1928 as the first luxury hotel in Bergen, the Grand Terminus presents classical, elegant architecture, wide hallways and high ceilings. Having won awards for its excellent design, Grand Terminus became the first hotel in Norway to be proposed as a listed building in 1995.
Situated a mere 5 minute walk from the Torgalmenningen Square and next to the railway station, Grand Terminus is within walking distance from all main tourist attractions, the bus terminal and shopping centre.
Close by are also 3 multi-storey car parks, the airport bus, the planned Bergen Light Rail and the Grieg Hall.
Most guest rooms and meeting rooms at Terminus have been renovated in 2008-2009 but still retain their classic and elegant appearance.
The Grand Whisky Bar is open between 17:00 and 24:00 from Monday to Saturday and serves beer, wine, champagne and soft drinks. Whisky tastings can also be arranged.
Food is served in the bar every evening, except on Sundays, between 17:00 and 21:30. Coffee and tea are available around the clock.
The hotel garden is the perfect place to enjoy a café au lait, or an aperitif before dinner.
