Once a 15th-century Franciscan monastery, Chiosco delle Monache is situated in a pleasant, green landscape just outside of Volterra and is walking distance from its historical centre and museums.
Now a beautiful and atmospheric hostel perfect for couples, families and groups of friends, the Chiosco offers well-furnished, modern rooms, some with their own bathrooms.
If you don't feel like walking into the town centre, buses pass just in front of your accommodation. Parking spaces for cars are also available.
Well-placed for day trips, the hotel is just an hour from Pisa, Florence and Siena and 30 minutes from the sea and San Gimignano.
An affordable restaurant under the same management is located just a few metres away and you will also find a café, a reading room, a TV room and a laundry on site.
