Parts of the New Inn date back to 1430, when it was an inn for pilgrims who came to Gloucester Cathedral. The ancient mediaeval courtyard has galleries on all sides and is one of the finest examples to be seen in Britain today.
Beautifully restored and refurbished, the inn offers comfortable en suite rooms with wonderful original features, including historic wooden beams. All of the rooms have TVs and tea/coffee.
The traditional grill and carvery restaurant offers authentic English dishes in charming surroundings.
The inn also has 4 bars, including an award-winning real ale bar that offers up to 10 different cask ales. There is also a coffee shop serving speciality teas and cakes.

There are 2 four-poster suites. The Oak Suite is the oldest of the bedrooms and certainly the most magnificent, with its four-poster bed, exposed oak beams and oak panelling. The Lady Jane Grey Suite is a more modern four-poster suite.
