Set in the heart of Jesmond, a cosmopolitan area of Newcastle, this stylish 3-star hotel provides the perfect base from which to explore all the sites that the city has to offer.
The area houses many bars, restaurants and cafès, and it is a popular area for night life. Newcastle's vibrant city centre is also just 5 minutes away. Despite being in such a lively area, The Caledonian is also only a short drive away from the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and the historic Roman Wall.
The hotel is warm and welcoming offering comfortable and spacious en suite rooms with free wireless internet. For food there is the Billabong bistro, which serves breakfast and dinner. Food is also available in the Billabong bar at lunch and dinner times.
The Caledonian has ample free car parking to the rear of the hotel.

Cancellation Policy for Group Bookings (3 rooms or more): A non refundable deposit of GBP 10 per person will be charged within 5 days of booking. If your booking is for an all male party or an all female party, you will be contacted with regards to a GBP 25.00 per person damage deposit. No pets allowed with the exception of guide dogs

Newcastle Airport 7.5 miles Newcastle Central rail station 2 miles a1- 3 miles From the West. At major roundabout on a69 turn left on a1 heading North. Leave at next junction taking 3rd exit, continue straight ahead through next two roundabouts, climb hill- at the top continue straight ahead through mini roundabout (Safeways is on your right), Take 2nd exit at large roundabout, proceed along main road ignoring exits until road turns along Ring Road then turn right and follow signs for Tynemouth and Jesmond watching out for sharp left-hand turn, at mini roundabout turn left. The Caledonian Hotel is located after the second zebra crossing. From The South. On a1 from the south (a69) turn off following signs for Gateshead a6127, (Durham Road) to Tyne Bridge- central motorway a6127. Turn off at Coast/Tynemouth a1058, turn first left at Osborne Road (b1600). From the North. Follow a1 signs to the south. Turn left off the a1 at the Gosforth/Wideopen exit. You are then on the b1318 Great North Road and should continue down Gosforth High Street. Take a left at the Blue House roundabout. You are now on Jesmond Dene Road a189. Turn first right into Osborne Road b1600. The Caledonian Hotel is on the left after one mile.
