Built in 1914 Sauntehus Castle Hotel is one of Denmark's youngest estates situated near Hornbæk in North Zealand in a quaint and charming fishing hamlet. Sauntehus Castle Hotel is surrounded by exceptional parkland that includes rare trees and bushes.
Situated on the oldest plantation in the country, which was planted in 1793, Sauntehus Castle Hotel grounds includes the tree of life, Tuja Plicata, which is 30 meters high and 50 meters in circumference.
Flanked by the castles Kronborg, Fredensborg and Frederiksborg, Sauntehus Castle Hotel is situated in a fashionable neighbourhood, and just a short walk to popular beaches and golf courses. Copenhagen's sights are just a 45 minute drive from the castle.

Every Saturday wine tastings are held and guests can taste selected wines from the hotel's own production and from imported sources.
