Bootham Guest House is York's finest family-run bed and breakfast, including a full English breakfast in the room rate. A non-smoking establishment in the city centre, we are ideally located for events and attractions.

Our beautifully decorated guest rooms are mostly en-suite and equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and colour tv. We offer an exceptionally high standard of comfort and cleanliness throughout and are renowned for our fabulous English breakfast that will set you up for your day! We are only a 5 minute walk from historic York city centre and its many attractions.

Full English or vegetarian breakfast is served between 08:30 and 09:30.

Cancellations

If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All older children or adults are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. There is no capacity for cots in the room.

Payment Information: A credit/debit card number is taken to guarantee the booking. All payments must be made in cash or cheques in UK Sterling. Reception is not manned 24 hours a day. Check- in is between 09:00 and 14:00, or later by prior arrangement. Please telephone or email the guest house with your estimated check-in time

By rail or coach: we recommend a short taxi from the york city terminal - it will cost you approx 3.00 GBP. By car: from the a1 take the a64 towards york. Shortly after driving past the services, which has a mcdonalds on your right hand side, turn off onto the filter lane to the a1237, signed for york (north) and thrisk. Follow the a1237 and at the 5th roundabout, turn right onto the a19, signed for york city centre. Drive stright on through the traffic lights at clifton green. You will then drive under a pedestrian footbridge at ST peters school. On your right you will see the grange hotel - turn left there at the pedestrian crossing into bootham crescent and proceed for 50 metres. Bootham guest house is on your right.
