This peaceful hotel has a fantastic setting overlooking the award-winning beach at Porth. It is a calm, relaxing base for exploring Cornwall's sights and attractions.
The Windward is located on the craggy North Cornwall coast where the Atlantic waves crash in. There are clean sandy beaches, rock pools and a crystal clear sea which provides excellent conditions for a range of water-sports.
In the evenings you can relax with a drink from the bar, and sit out on the terrace overlooking the beach.

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

The hotel offers 13 well-equipped, fully en suite bedrooms, some with balconies and sea views, others with superb views of Porth Bay Valley. All rooms have DVD players and some have comfortable sofas.

The Windward restaurant serves light lunches and evening meals using the freshest fish and locally sourced produce. The restaurant is in a stunning location overlooking Porth Bay. On summer nights dine on the bar terrace and watch the spectacular sunsets over Porth Island. The well-stocked bar serves many fine beers and spirits and an extensive wine list. Breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room/conservatory.
By Car: - Take the A30 through Cornwall. - Follow the signs to Newquay on the A392. - On the main road into Newquay (Porth), take a right at the first mini-roundabout, onto the coast road towards Padstow. - Follow the road round Porth Bay, past The Mermaid Inn and up the hill. - The hotel is on the right-hand side opposite the beach. By Air: There are daily flights from Gatwick, Stansted, Leeds, Durham, Dublin, Cardiff and Edinburgh direct to Newquay Airport, which is 3 miles from the hotel.
