In Ambleside, in the heart of the Lake District, this family-run guest house offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and almost 50 restaurants and cafes within a 5-minute walk.
Unlike many smaller guest houses, Lakes Lodge is licensed and offers wine and beer room service throughout the day. Ice and ice buckets are provided for you to help yourself to. All rooms are furnished to a very high standard with contemporary comforts and facilities including DVD players. A range of DVDs are available from reception for a small charge. The coffee machine is on throughout the day, allowing you to help yourself.
A new and exciting concept in Lake District accommodation, Lakes Lodge is just 200 metres from the shops, cafes and restaurants in the heart of Ambleside. Lake Windermere is just 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away and all of the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District is within easy reach. Free parking is available for guests.

Start your day in the cafe-style breakfast room where you can help yourself to a continental-style buffet breakfast. The buffet offers cereals, fruit, bread and fruit juice to name just a few items available. There is a coffee machine that is on all day long, so you can help yourself when returning from a day on the lake or walking in the fells.
Coming into Ambleside you go through the traffic lights and follow the oneway system round the town in effect you actually go back on yourself. Lakes Lodge is on your right and the car park is at the side and to the rear.
