Our venue is a striking country mansion in the picturesque Northamptonshire village of Creaton. Originally a coaching inn, it has evolved into a superb venue for all kinds of events.
Its continued development has been careful to maintain the beauty of the original building, successfully combining 17th century charm with 21st century comfort.
Highgate House is only a short distance from Northampton, The Historic Althorp House and the M1, M6 and A14.
The historic, family atmosphere is strong throughout the estate, but is perhaps most noticeable in the rooms in and around the main house; each containing centuries of memories almost tangible to those within.
Please note that the hotel has no lift. Not all accommodation is in the 17th century building, most is in modern extensions across from the property.

Highgate House is currently undertaking an exciting new project to refurbish the current restaurant. This will take place from 7 July 2008 to 14 September 2008. During this time, breakfast and dinner will be served in other dining areas, which will be used as the temporary restaurant.
Like all the Sundial Group venues, Highgate House has a large number (98) of superb bedrooms, perfect for a restful night's sleep. The spacious rooms, housed in accommodation areas throughout the estate, are individually decorated, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Designed and furnished to the highest specifications, the bedrooms are modern and light with a relaxed feel. The large well-lit work area features a sturdy yet elegant desk and provides web connectivity. The beds are hand-made by an English supplier. To ensure the highest standards, we supply toiletries from The White Company in the rooms. Highgate House's 98 bedrooms are located in different parts of the venue, ranging from the older bedrooms in the main house to more modern rooms in other buildings. A continuing refurbishment programme ensures all the bedrooms meet the high level of comfort demanded by guests.
All bedrooms are individually decorated with hand-crafted beds.
This special offer includes accommodation in one of the executive bedrooms on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, including a full 3-course dinner. The offer also includes full use of the hotel's leisure facilities and entry for 2 adults to Rockingham Castle on a Sunday.
This includes a 3-course dinner, an executive room and a trip for 2 to Castle Ashby.
Highgate House is renowned both locally and nationally for the excellent food it serves. A skilled team of chefs use fresh local produce to create impressive menus. Highgate House is accredited by the Vegetarian Society and even boasts its own cookbook - 36 for 8, available for purchase at reception. In addition to the main restaurant, a number of beautiful dining rooms are able to seat parties of 2 to 200. Pre-booking for dinner is advisable at the time of reservation, as the restaurant can be particularly busy.
