Balyett Bed and Breakfast is just a 4-minute drive from Stranraer's ferry port and only a 5-minute drive from Cairnryan - ideal for the Stena Line ferries to Belfast and the P&O ferries to Larne.
Balyett offers beautifully decorated spacious rooms. All match the traditional decor of this Victorian home. You can sit in the garden or relax in the lounge by the log fire with a drink, all whilst watching the ferries go by.

For your safety and comfort, smoking is not permitted anywhere in Balyett. The house is happy to take arrivals from the late ferries, just let them know your estimated time of arrival. Pick-up/drop-off service for foot passengers from the ferry port and train station, on request. If bringing children, please state clearly how many and of what age in the 'Special Notes' when booking.

This front-facing room has a king-size bed, a double shower and luxury towels. It offers a view overlooking Loch Ryan and a breathtaking sunset.
This room is decorated in a colonial style from the current Laura Ashley range, with little touches such as solid wood furniture, pretty mirrors and a matching tissue box. A private bathroom contains a cast-iron bath and original Victorian sink. The bathroom, with a shower, is situated a few steps from the bedroom. Bathrobes and toiletries are supplied. As well as the facilities listed below, all rooms have decanters with sherry.
Room name: Family Room with View of Loch Ryan This room is furnished with a solid oak dressing table and wardrobe which have been handed down through generations of the family. The family room has a king-size bed and 1 single bed, and can comfortably sleep 3 people. Sitting at the table in the window overlooking the garden and the beautiful Loch Ryan, you will be inspired to write your postcards from Scotland or plan your itinerary, all while watching the ferries sail by. Other than the facilities listed below, the room also has decanters filled with sherry for a nightcap.
Each morning you can enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast overlooking the garden and Loch Ryan. Special dietary requirements are catered for, including fresh fruit, yoghurt and a continental option. For lunch and dinner, the B&B is located just a short distance from some of Stranraer's finest restaurants and bars. There are also plenty of cafes and takeaways in the town. The B&B offers a booking facility at busy times, which you can request on the booking form. On request, coffee and freshly cut sandwiches can be served in the guest lounge.
Balyett Bed and Breakfast is situated half a mile from Stranraer on the main A77 coast road between Stranraer and Cairnryan. Overlooking Lochryan. Stranraer ferry: 4 minutes. Cairnryan ferry: 5 minutes. There is ample off-road parking for all vehicle types.
