Owners Paul and Julie will offer a very warm welcome and excellent hospitality to all, giving personal attention and ensuring a homely atmosphere in their 7 spotless and cosy en suite bedrooms. Paul and Julie are particularly proud of the quality of their breakfasts, prepared with locally sourced ingredients, from fresh outdoor-reared pork sausages, rashers of locally cured bacon and free range Yorkshire eggs, to freshly baked croissants.

The centre of York is a pleasant 20 minute riverside stroll away, and for those who wish to conserve their energy for sightseeing, there is a frequent bus service into the city centre. We are also conveniently situated for York racecourse, York University and Fulford International golf club.

Ashbourne House does not accept bookings from groups of same-sex guests (e.g. stag/hen parties). If you are due to arrive after 20:00, you must telephone Ashbourne House. Ashbourne House will add an additional cost to payments made by credit or debit card.

From the South via the m1/a1 and a64: Turn off the m1/a1 onto the a64 Leeds-York road. Follow the signs to York city centre and after passing the race course on the left and then crossing the river, take the slip road for the a19 Selby-York road (also marked Designer Outlet). Follow the signs for York, going through the village of Fulford and then past 2 sets of traffic lights. After the second set of traffic lights you will pass Fulford Chase on the left. Ashbourne House is on the right just a little further down the road. From the North via the city centre: Follow the signs for Selby and the A19 South. Travel past the Police Headquarters and Imphal Barracks on the left. Ashbourne House is about 200 metres further down the road on the left.
