Set in the market place, the Castle Inn can trace its origins back to the 12th century. Many features of the original construction remain today.
The Inn has undergone careful and considerate restoration. Great care has been taken to preserve and enhance the charm of this lovely building whilst ensuring our guests enjoy the utmost comfort and attention to detail. The hotel boasts eleven charming en suite bedrooms, all tastefully furnished and individual in character. Oliver?s Restaurant, named after Cromwell, who once took refuge from Royalist troops within these walls, promises an evening to remember. This elegant dining room offers the highest quality cuisine and fine wine served in stylish and intimate surroundings. Or why not eat in our friendly bar, with roaring fires in the winter enjoying the ambience of the cat memorabilia, which the owners have collected over the years.

Choose to eat in our non smoking dining room known as 'Oliver's Restaurant. This elegant dining room offers the highest quality cuisine and fine wine served in stylish, intimate surroundings. You may also choose to dine in our dining area surrounding the bar. You can choose a light meal from our extensive bar menu or a full al a carte meal.
From Jct 17 off the m4, head south along the a350 towards Chippenham. Take your 2nd exit off the first roundabout, again following the a350 go straight over the next roundabout. At the next roundabout take the last exit onto the a420 following all signs to Castle Combe Race Circuit. Shortly after passing a 'Shell' garage on your left hand side, take the right hand turn towards Yatton Keynall and Castle Combe. Stay on the road for approx 3 miles, you will travel through 'Tiddley Wink' and 'Yatton Keynall' and the Race Circuit will be on your left hand side. Shortly after a garage (also on your left) the road bears round to the right, take the second left after the bend which will bring you down a steep hill and into the village. We are on the right hand side. From Bath head north on the a46 and turn right onto the a420. Approximately 5 miles on look out for The White Hart Public House (on your right)at Ford, shortly after take the left hand turn to Castle Combe. You will see us as you enter the village almost directly in front of you. From Jct 18 head south on the a46 and turn left onto the a420.
