Built on foundations which date back to the 12th Century, the hotel is reputed to have been Henry VIII's hunting lodge and home to the Eden family. It houses secret passages and even a friendly ghost or two!

Restaurants and Bars
The Beehive Cocktail Lounge and adjoining Library are both spacious and luxurious, yet retain the original historic fireplace and beehive oven. The whole mood of the area oozes class and the library is the perfect place to get away from the outside world, catch up with the news and enjoy your favourite tipple. The stables bar is found in the courtyard overlooking the gardens and al fresco dining area which is also ideal for a relaxing drink. The cosy bar has a racing theme and jockeys silks and memorabilia adorn the walls. Sport coverage is also available on the plasma TV. Traditional and exotic tastes meet to seduce the tastebuds, artistically presented to please the eye. Fine wines from our cellar are specially selected to compliment the food.
